Progress on my proposed deepfake laws

On Wednesday, I stood with the amazing Sonya Ryan of The Carly Ryan Foundation Inc., Attorney-General Kyam Maher MLC and Michael Brown MP, Member for Florey to announce progress on my proposed deepfake laws. As often happens, the government is now taking on my important initiative, and I welcome their collaboration to get the best result for South Australians.

Deepfakes are a growing threat, particularly for vulnerable teens, Legislators must keep pace with evolving technologies and I’m proud to be leading the charge on this crucial issue.
